  • Requires ALL schools accepting state taxpayer funds to follow the same rules and standards.

Arkansas Government Disclosure ACT (FOIA)

Arkansas Citizens for Transparency

  • Expands the definition of a “public meeting
  • Establishes conditions for disclosure of a public record related to security
  • Clarifies and strengthens disclosure policies for records related to security of government officials
  • Establishes the Arkansas Government Transparency Commission to ensure transparency
  • Requires all public meetings to allow public participation

Arkansas Government Disclosure Amendment (FOIA)

Arkansas Citizens for Transparency

  • Establishes a constitutional right of Arkansans to government transparency 
  • Enshrines definition of “government transparency” as the government’s obligation to share information with citizens 
  • Restricts the circumstances under which the General Assembly may make a law concerning government transparency
  • Confirms that the state may be sued for failure to comply with transparency law.

Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment

Arkansans for Patient Access

  • Expands who can prescribe medical marijuana 
  • Allows patients/caregivers the ability to grow their own plants 
  • Prescriptions can be based on medical need rather than under current “qualifying conditions”
  • Patient assessments via telemedicine
  • Recognizes out-of-state medical cards
  • Abolishes application fees for seeking registry ID cards
  • Extends expiration date from one to three years.
