John Lewis Good Trouble Movie Screening and Discussion

About this event

Join Indivisible Smith County and friends in honor of John Lewis for a screening and discussion of the film “John Lewis: Good Trouble,” a 2020 documentary that chronicles the life and legacy of the late Congressman and civil rights activist. It’s our part of this National Day of Action “Good Trouble Lives On”. Doors open at 6 pm and the screening will start at 6:30 pm.

Congressman John Lewis was a champion for voting rights and civil rights for all in this nation. His famous quote “Get in good trouble, and help redeem the soul of America”, lives on as our call to action for current times.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
