This nonviolent action is hosted by Indivisible Northwest Arkansas.
Activists in Denver, Oakland, northwest Arkansas, New York, Seattle, Chicago, and other cities will GET LOUD on CECOT!
What does El Salvador’s President Bukele want on July 24th? A big, beautiful birthday. What do we want? To remind him that hundreds of men were unlawfully taken from the United States to prisons in his country, and we don’t want it to happen again. Kidnapping immigrants from US soil without an opportunity to be heard in court violated their Constitutional right to due process. President Bukele should cancel his contract with Trump!
We will be protesting in front of El Salvadoran consulates on the same day, all around the US, to make Bukele’s birthday a day to remember the suffering of others.
Come to the Consulate in Springdale to let the president of El Salvador know we want this to never happen again. Signs to be provided.
We respect the people of El Salvador and the work of the Consulate in serving their own people. This is not a protest of the Consulate, but it is a message to Bukele. We will respect the workers and clients who come to the Consulate for services. We intend for the staff to convey our concerns and passion to their President, so that he is aware that many in the US public are unhappy with his collaboration with Trump.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
