Public education is one of the strongest tools we have for opportunity and self-determination. And right now, public education funding is under a coordinated attack by this administration! Schemes like private school vouchers are now being sold as quick fixes, draining resources from neighborhood public schools, expanding privatization, and leaving Black and brown families holding the risk, while attacks on DEI are gutting public education funding across the country.
We are watching Project 2025 roll out before our very eyes, from the federal budget fight to the pending 2027 Voucher scheme rollout- public school funds are being gutted, but we can do something about it!
Our storytelling training will unpack what’s really happening from the past to the present, how these policies impact our communities, and what you can do to protect and strengthen your local public school funding through the power of our stories.
This interactive session will provide a space for members to harness their unique power and develop the skills to craft and share their stories for impact. Now, more than ever, we must uplift and amplify our stories to build power and drive action.
